Transcript
Voice feels responsive when the system knows when to listen and when to stop. The result also needs a destination.
Talkie documents a press, speak, release dictation flow. Releasing the hotkey marks the end of capture.
After capture, audio becomes a transcript. Transcription time is only one part of the wait a person experiences.
The text still needs a destination. Pasting into the focused app is different from sending work to an agent.
Measure from the end of speech to usable text. Track capture, transcription, and routing separately when diagnosing delay.
Check the result in the intended place. A fast transcript is less useful if the wrong field receives it.
For voice workflows, make each transition clear. Talkie's lifecycle documentation is a useful place to study those boundaries.
Educational diagrams with synthesized English narration. Captions are included in the picture; the optional caption track repeats the same text.
